Spend a day full of farm life adventures in Tuy

I live in a rural community but experiencing a full farm life is not part of it.

And when my office mate invite me and my sister to a trip, I just said yes to a farm adventure. It may be one hour away from my town and two hours from Batangas City, but this was definitely one of a kind trip.

We were a bunch of probinsyanos and Manileños who came together to relax and smell fresh air. Not all of us tried the line up of activities the we were set to do for an overnight stay in a farm in Sabang, Tuy, Batangas. The trip was arranged by Kuya Herbert who is a tour guide-slash-mountaineer and a friend of my officemate, We got so excited that as soon as we arrived at the farm, we changed our outfit into swim wears.

On our way to the river, my sister and I rode a carabao for the first time. I am telling you that based on our facial expressions, it is really hard to climb and maintain your balance while on top of this cute animal.

From the carabao ride, we started our trail going to the river. We passed by the shallow area in order to swim in a deeper one.

And here it is. The water was so cool that we kept on smiling while it gradually swept our body away. It took us far from where we started on sitting so we were extra careful.

We transfered from one area to another because of the speed of water flow. We went into the calmer one and started playing games with each other.

We earned the courage also to have a mini cliff diving there, The adrenaline rush mixed with fear was not a joke. Though it may look like easy, the struggle was still there because of my fear of heights.

From a courageous act, the jump suddenly became a test of faith. I believed so I made several tries to conquer all my fears.

Group shots were mandatory that we posed these wacky and normal shots for us to remember the incredible trip we all had in Sabang.

To restore energy, we were served with very delicious dishes. Take note, most of these were farm produce.

Aside from the trail and jump, we also had kayaking activity after our lunch break. And by the way, we only spent 500 pesos for the trip which included all the activities plus the merienda, lunch, dinner and breakfast and also the tent for a day trip around the farm.

We went back to the camp site after too much kayaking.

We were still looking for things to do so we were allowed also to have vegetable and fruit picking. We picked chili peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, bittergourd and even watermelons. We were so lucky the we can take home these precious farm produce. Aside from these, we also rode farm tractors to pretend that we're indeed farmers.

Before the sun set, we ate merienda so we can set up oure tents. We also made camp fire where we can cook hotdogs and marshmallows. Our tummy were filled with sumptuous food that we can only taste in Batangas. Our night ended with star gazing, drinking and story telling.

And by the break of dawn, we're greeted by the sun to show us that another came to welcome us.
So if you want to experience these, feel free to comment or ask me here :)
