YG Stans Must Visit Places in South Korea (Updated 2020)
I have been in South Korea for five times in a matter of six years. And during those visits, I did not forget to include certain places that are definitely must-go-to places for YG stans like me. Together with my sister, I am slowly completing the list I created in order for us to proclaim that we are indeed true blooded YG stans.
Here is the list of places that YG people promote, stay and visit.
YG Entertainment
Established in 1996 by Yang Hyun-suk,YG Entertainment operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house.
Formerly home to hip-hop group 1TYM and 2NE1, its current roster of artists include some of the biggest K-pop acts to gain international fame, such as Psy, Big Bang, Sandara Park, CL, Akdong Musician, Lee Hi, WINNER, iKON and BLACKPINK as well as actors and actresses including Kang Dong-won, Choi Ji-woo, Cha Seung-won and Lee Jong-suk. In terms of revenue contribution, Big Bang is the company's biggest act.
As YG stans, we did not forget to visit and pose like stalkers near YG building. Fortunately, we saw AKMU and IKON inside the premises.

As of our 2019 visit, the new YG building beside the original one can actually be seen soon to operate soon. We also noticed that there is another YG building once you enter the street going to the original YG building.
Untitled 2017
This is a brunch café located within YG Republique area ain Jeju named, Untitled, 2017, is designed by G-Dragon himself and his brand PEACEMINUSONE pop up store is housed there to sell his goodies.
The cafe building is designed to resemble an overlap of the letters G and D; the initial of G-Dragon’s name. A modern comfortable and gorgeous cafe with a special design from the outside to the interior.
He also displayed some of his artworks for his fans to see.

Dara and YG also visited this cafe and ordered the best seller in the menu.
Another notable in front of the building is the piece of art he made and this was used as background of some of Dara's photos.

AC.III.T (pronounced ACT) is the Bowling Pub that G-Dragon also had a hand in planning and designing.
Among those who visit the are are Dara and TOP's sister and nephew.

YG's GD and Dara are among the ones who first visited the theme park before it was open to public. Dara returned again along with TOP's sister and nephew.

Monsant Cafe
Monsant Cafe in Aewol, Jeju gained popularity since the former owner is G-Dragon. The cafe is worth a visit for the beautiful ocean view and it has a unique aesthetic like GD.

Go to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, and take Bus #702 (towards Gosan).
After about 47 minutes, get off at the bus stop called Han Dam Dong (한담동).
Walk for about 5 minutes. It is right behind Bomnal Cafe
GD is always seen having short vacation trips here with his friends.
Aside from GD, Dara was seen visiting the place for more than a couple of times.

YG Entertainment recently opened a new restaurant complex in Myeongdong, Seoul called YG Republique. It has 3 sections: 3 Birds Coffee and Kitchen (cafe), K-Pub, and 삼거리푸줏간 (Korean BBQ).

YG's new venture is a Korean barbecue joint called Samgeori Butcher situated in Hongdae's main road. It was established by K-pop's famous producer YG and renowned lifestyle cosultant/former MasterChef Korea judge Hee Young Noh It opens from 11:30 am to 2:00am every day of the week.
When it opened, many YG artists came and left signature on the wall and balloons.

This is a recently-opened cafe by Winner's Song Mino. The place is said to have chic and modern design with some of his art pieces.
Since he is the CEO, Mino can be spotted visiting his own cafe.

K-Style Hub has the information to meet all tourists' needs, from a tourist information center to a hallyu experince, hansik exhibition and experience hall, medical tourism information and more.
Speaking of Hallyu experience, it must be visited first to get some guide books and brochures in touring South Korea and also the chance to lots of free photos with YG artists' standees and photo booths.

Everland
Everland Resort entertains visitors all year long with various rides, festivals like Global Fair, theme parks including Magic Land, European Adventure and Zootopia, perfect for a great amusement park.
However, this was not the reason why we opted to visit the place but the hologram concert of GD.

Dara also visited the place for a short day trip.
MBC World Theme Park
Major Korean broadcaster MBC will open the first hallyu theme park of the nation. The park is completed with hologram K-pop concerts, virtual reality drama sets and more.
The theme park’s main attractions include experience zones where visitors can also experience being on stage with K-pop stars in holographic form and learn dance moves from them or become an main character in their favorite K-dramas.
Without any expectations, we experienced singing along with GD's Crooked and watching Bigbang's hologram concert.

K-Live in Lotte Fittin

Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is the newest and most iconic landmark of the Korean design industry. Located at the center of the Dongdaemun area, the DDP will serve as a key venue for design-related shows and conferences, exhibitions, and other events and gatherings.
It is also where the music video of 2ne1's Come Back Home was shot.

Dolce Vita Pension
Known also as a good son, G-Dragon gifted his parents with a pension. According to GD’s father, GD spent around 1 billion KRW (approximately $ 930,000 USD) to build the place.
G-Dragon’s father, Kwon Young Hwan, manages the hotel and currently lives there with GD’s dogs, Gaho and Jolie. Many fans are thrilled with having photos with GD's father and dogs.

Seungri’s Friend opened a Ramen Restaurant “Aori Ramen” in Seungri’s Building BC Holdings. Seungri promotes the ramen shop and encouraged other like Bigbang to go and visit.

Aori Ramen Hongdae
We went to visit another branch in Hongdae.

This is where Seungri's Appa/Father frequently serves as the manager.
Ikon went there to be servers for a day for Ikon TV.
Blackpink also went there for Blackpink TV since their pink house can also be found in Hongdae.

Monkey Museum
It was reported that Seungri apparently studied various lounge bars and considered potential profits before opening up 'Monkey Museum.'
It is operating only on Fridays and Saturdays and its weekly earning is over $100,000 USD. It was also reported that Seungri had Chinese investments in order to open the bar.
A real estate expert estimates that building in which Seungri's bar operates costs anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000 for a deposit and a monthly rent of $15,000.
And being the rumored owner, Seungri is a frequent bar goer and DJ here.
T.O.P was also sighted going to this bar.
Lotte World
Located in the heart of the city, Lotte World is the perfect spot for entertainment and sightseeing. It is a theme park filled with thrilling rides, an ice rink and different kinds of parades, as well as a folk museum, a lake, and much more.
Bigbang was seen here during the filming of one of the reality shows that featured them with a dare.

Grevin Museum
France's famous beeswax museum, the Musee Grevin, adds the new 4th venue in Seoul, South Korea's capital after its opening in Paris, Montreal and Prague.
The first Asian subsidiary in Seoul is adding a slew of South Korean hallyu celebrities including Psy, G Dragon as well as figuare skating star Kim Yuna. Over 80 wax figures will be presented in themed spaces which also includes the historical figures King Sejong and General Lee Sunshin.

10Corso Como
In 2008, 10 Corso Como opened in Seoul in partnership with Samsung Cheil, Samsung Group, designed by Kris Ruhs.
The Cheongdam-dong store was used as a filming location for the music video of Psy's 2013 single "Gentleman".

Rare Market
It’s here, at Rare Market, that an incomparably chic duo has curated a treasure trove of clothes that are changing the way Korean girls approach fashion.
What is special here is that the place is co-owned by GD's sister, Dami Kwon. GD is always seen here.

It is a common place where Bigbang and other idols can be seen having salon schedules. The location of both places is across each other.

It is where the bench project for GDragon by his fansite, @always_gd. Seoull Forest is also near to GD's house located in Galleria Foret.
YG Place at Lotte Young Plaza
YG Shop is stand-alone stall located within the Lotte Young Plaza Mall. The shop displays and sells YG Entertainment branded merchandise.

YG Place at Lotte El Cube in Hongdae and Ehwa
In a bid to overturn the sluggish growth of traditional brick-and-mortar retail, Lotte Department Store is launching a new type of shopping mall in Seoul, the Lotte El Cube.
In a trendy university neighborhood, the relatively small store focuses specifically on young, fashion-conscious shoppers – a departure from the retailer’s usual strategy of offering something for everyone at its department stores.
The roof tops of the stores can be perfect spots for photo shoots.
Two of it are located near Hongik University and Ehwa Women's University.
Among the products featured here is YG's Moonshot.
YG Place Lotte El Cube Garosu-gil
Aside from the two store mentioned above, what is unique in Lotte El Cube in Garosu-gil is the YG Place. The YG artists merchandise can be seen and bought here.
The store is located at 22, Apgujeong-ro 12-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul via Sinsa Station Exit 8. Walk straight towards Garosugil street. Turn left at It’s Skin. Walk straight yourself at Garosugil Street. Continue to walk straight until you find the pink building.
Twosome Studio
Teddy Park debuted as the leader of 1TYM in 1998 and is now YG Entertainment's main producer. Some of Teddy's recent works are Lee Hi's Rose, CL's The Baddest Female, Kang Seung Yoon's Wild and Young and 2NE1's Do You Love Me.
Teddy was in charge of the cafe's design. 2NE1 actually filmed their Do You Love Me MV in the cafe. Proof to this is the section of YG artists' memorabilia.
Unfortunately, this cafe is now permanently closed.

Take the subway to 홍대입구 (Hongik University Station, Line 2) and get out from Exit 9. Walk straight ahead for about 5minutes.
Do not cross the road, just turn left.
Continue to walk straight all the way.
You will first pass by H&M, then the Tourist Information Kiosk (they should be on your left). Continue to walk straight.
Walk towards the entrance of Hongik University. Cross the road and turn left and the Twosome+ Studio will be on your right!
Bigbang and 2NE1 also visited the place.
Seoul Olympic Stadium
Olympic Park is an expansive outdoor area for Seoul residents to enjoy and also offers facilities and venues for a range of events including athletic competitions, concerts and other performances.
Bigbang concerts are usually held here.

Jamsil Olympic Stadium

NB(Noise Basement) is one of the hottest and also the oldest clubs in Hongdae. It is more popular as a club owned and operated by YG(from YG entertainment). NB2 is a hiphop club where you can enjoy diverse hiphop music from 1990's hiphop to recent electronic hiphop.

And just recently, the club was filled controversy. It was the place where Bigbang held its after party on its 0 to 10 final concert in Seoul and this was where GD and Dara had a dating scandal.

Our Bakery
Our Bakery is one of the many cafeterias and bakeries in Seoul. What made it special is that one of its loyalists is Sandara Park. She even had a photo with the owner. She also updated her instagram with a bunch of photos with her friends enjoying the cafe's ambiance. And fans, of course, saw her outside the cafe as well.
Nona9on
This is the clothing line that YG introduced to the world. The models are YG artists including IKON's Bobby and Hanbin and Blackpink's Lisa. The store is located in Gangnam.
And during its launch party, Bigbang and 2NE1 attended.

Se7en Yeolbong Jjimdak Hongdae
Yeolbong Jjimdak is restaurant opened by a popular Korean Celebrity and formerly YG artist, Se7en. Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed.

Club The A
Art in to the Music. That is the tag line of now closed music bar in Seoul, Gangnam-gu, Yeoksam-Dong 701-1 (Art Nouveau B1).
Though already closed, this place is one of the memorable places for Blackjacks and Applers.
2NE1 held their All or Nothing After Party here.
This cafe is bought by Seungri for his mother. The whole family manages it and usually seen doing hands on jobs here.
Inside the cafe, there are little items and stuffed animals. Also, VIPs can take a photo with Bigbang memorabilia there. Sadly, it was closed last January 2019.

It was our first day in our spring vacation in South Korea last March 24, 2018. We are YG stans and knowing that Winner was chosen as ambassador for CK, we did not hesitate to attend the fan meeting.
We traveled for one hour from Jongno-gu to Gangnam-gu hoping that we will be able to catch them since the location was disclosed on the same date.
We're so happy that we were able to see them up close and personal in Hyundai Department Store, Trade Center.
In 2008, 10 Corso Como opened in Seoul in partnership with Samsung Cheil, Samsung Group, designed by Kris Ruhs.
The Cheongdam-dong store was used as a filming location for the music video of Psy's 2013 single "Gentleman".

YG Plus

This shoe store is jut across MizangwonbyTaehyun salon. Many YG artists, especially Dara, who frequently visit this store to buy limited edition shoes/sneakers.

YG Place at Lotte El Cube in Hongdae and Ehwa
In a bid to overturn the sluggish growth of traditional brick-and-mortar retail, Lotte Department Store is launching a new type of shopping mall in Seoul, the Lotte El Cube.
In a trendy university neighborhood, the relatively small store focuses specifically on young, fashion-conscious shoppers – a departure from the retailer’s usual strategy of offering something for everyone at its department stores.
The roof tops of the stores can be perfect spots for photo shoots.
Two of it are located near Hongik University and Ehwa Women's University.
Among the products featured here is YG's Moonshot.

YG Place Lotte El Cube Garosu-gil
Aside from the two store mentioned above, what is unique in Lotte El Cube in Garosu-gil is the YG Place. The YG artists merchandise can be seen and bought here.
The store is located at 22, Apgujeong-ro 12-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul via Sinsa Station Exit 8. Walk straight towards Garosugil street. Turn left at It’s Skin. Walk straight yourself at Garosugil Street. Continue to walk straight until you find the pink building.
We made sure to visit the funny place at the basement and rooftop lounge to have our random photos.
Twosome Studio
Teddy Park debuted as the leader of 1TYM in 1998 and is now YG Entertainment's main producer. Some of Teddy's recent works are Lee Hi's Rose, CL's The Baddest Female, Kang Seung Yoon's Wild and Young and 2NE1's Do You Love Me.
Teddy was in charge of the cafe's design. 2NE1 actually filmed their Do You Love Me MV in the cafe. Proof to this is the section of YG artists' memorabilia.
Unfortunately, this cafe is now permanently closed.

Take the subway to 홍대입구 (Hongik University Station, Line 2) and get out from Exit 9. Walk straight ahead for about 5minutes.
Do not cross the road, just turn left.
Continue to walk straight all the way.
You will first pass by H&M, then the Tourist Information Kiosk (they should be on your left). Continue to walk straight.
Walk towards the entrance of Hongik University. Cross the road and turn left and the Twosome+ Studio will be on your right!
Bigbang and 2NE1 also visited the place.
Seoul Olympic Stadium
Olympic Park is an expansive outdoor area for Seoul residents to enjoy and also offers facilities and venues for a range of events including athletic competitions, concerts and other performances.
Bigbang concerts are usually held here.

Jamsil Olympic Stadium
The Seoul Olympic Stadium, also known as Jamsil Olympic Stadium is located in Seoul, South Korea. It is the main stadium built for the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 10th Asian Games in 1986.
This place is where the 2014 YG Family concert was held.

NB2 Hongdae
NB(Noise Basement) is one of the hottest and also the oldest clubs in Hongdae. It is more popular as a club owned and operated by YG(from YG entertainment). NB2 is a hiphop club where you can enjoy diverse hiphop music from 1990's hiphop to recent electronic hiphop.

And just recently, the club was filled controversy. It was the place where Bigbang held its after party on its 0 to 10 final concert in Seoul and this was where GD and Dara had a dating scandal.

Cakeshop
Multi Seoul, the party promotor who brought us Brenmar, Bok Bok and College, opened its new venue Cakeshop in Itaewon.
Multi is known for bringing more progressive electronic acts, which is still rare to find in Korea.
Among those who did his clubbing here is GD.

Our Bakery
Our Bakery is one of the many cafeterias and bakeries in Seoul. What made it special is that one of its loyalists is Sandara Park. She even had a photo with the owner. She also updated her instagram with a bunch of photos with her friends enjoying the cafe's ambiance. And fans, of course, saw her outside the cafe as well.

Nona9on
This is the clothing line that YG introduced to the world. The models are YG artists including IKON's Bobby and Hanbin and Blackpink's Lisa. The store is located in Gangnam.
And during its launch party, Bigbang and 2NE1 attended.

Se7en Yeolbong Jjimdak Hongdae
Yeolbong Jjimdak is restaurant opened by a popular Korean Celebrity and formerly YG artist, Se7en. Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed.

His friends including Bigbang and 2NE1 went here. The photos on the wall say it all.
Club The A
Art in to the Music. That is the tag line of now closed music bar in Seoul, Gangnam-gu, Yeoksam-Dong 701-1 (Art Nouveau B1).
Though already closed, this place is one of the memorable places for Blackjacks and Applers.
2NE1 held their All or Nothing After Party here.
Applers also regard this place as holy because of GD and Dara's precious interaction during the AOMG party.
And.Here Cafe
This cafe is bought by Seungri for his mother. The whole family manages it and usually seen doing hands on jobs here.
Inside the cafe, there are little items and stuffed animals. Also, VIPs can take a photo with Bigbang memorabilia there. Sadly, it was closed last January 2019.

Do all of them provide a hologram performance of both gd and big bang, and a photo booth to take pictures with yg artists (big bang and 2ne1). I don't want to go all 3 places if one of them has everything included. Thank you.
