Winter in Korea Day 4: Myeongdong, YG republique, Shinsegae Mall, DDP and DOTS Exhibit in Doota Duty Free

Our fourth day will be our last chance to see the snow before heading back to the Philippines. Our itinerary centered in Myeongdong. The last busy day will be dedicated to Namsan Tower and Myeongdong cathedral and shopping streets. We prayed hard to God so He will let us see and experience snow and He answered it hard as well.

We woke up so early to prepare for the snowy day. The Accuweather and Weather app indicated that it will be snowing as early as 7am but there was none. With high hopes, we saw people with umbrellas on the train. And we forgot to bring one.

Our first stop then was the Myeongdong Tourist Information Center.

It is open at 9:00 am and by the dot we were there as the first foreign tourist to try their hanboks for free. It was my second time to wear one while my sister was her first. We were instructed to take photos virtually on different backgrounds for 10 minutes and send each photo on our email address.

Here are some of the amazing results.

And after 10 minutes, we took photos on our own before undressing.

We also toured around the tourist center and saw these brochures. We got some for souvenirs.

When we went out, it was drizzling. We silently prayed that it will turn into snow. After five minutes of walking towards the cathedral, I noticed that it was slowly snowing. The timing was super right. God answered our prayers in His own abode. Thank you Lord for letting us see, feel, experience and dance with the snow in the foreign land and second home for us.

Our happy face said it all. It was snowing that day!

After paying respect to God, we went to Namsan Tower via Bus No. 2 from the Myeongdong Station. It was already snowing hard when we reached the tower. We also claimed a 30% discount in the admission tickets so from 10,000 won we got it for 7,000 won only because of the Korea Grand Sale coupon. I helped other foreign tourists by sending the discount coupon via bluetooth so they can get the discount also.

When we went inside the tower, we went directly to this spot where it's supposedly a view where Manila is 2,625.7 kilometers away from our location.

There were lots of souvenir items but we opted to choose this one for 12,000 won.

Then, we went outside and see the gloomy weather. It's snowing really hard.

We did not miss posing near the wall full of love locks. My sister and I just enjoyed the moment since we're both single. We just made fun of its since the place is a common filming site of many Korean dramas that we watched.

For more than an hour, our eyes and skin were filled with good memories with the bonus sighting of snow.

When we went out of the bus in the Namsan cable car station, we were on a mission and that's to find Heo Joon Jae's House. The place is a significant filming site in the Legend of the Blue Sea. And we're right. It can be spotted beside the station. Just look for these stairs.

Walk downstairs.

Walk on this street.

Until you see the small wooden corner on your left side.

And you can see the wooden stairs going to Joon Jae's house which is actually a gallery.

Since we spent hours touring, we awarded ourselves with a tummy filled lunch and dinner at YG Republique in Myeongdong. We need to be full before shopping.

We went upstairs so we can see the photo collection of YG artists.

IMG20170129181229

We posed with Dara's photo of course.

Next, we went to Shinsegae but it was already closed at 8pm. We spotted also some filming spots used in Goblin and Legend of the Blue Sea here. We wished to return here this year to roam inside the mall and take a photo with GD's standee.

Our alternative was to go to Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

Thanks, Doota! We revived the DOTS feels we had last year!

We were supposed to visit Lotte Fittin for Bigbangs' KLive but it was already late eve and we need to pack our things early for our return flight.

There are lots of chances going back so we need to list our target places next time!
