BIGBANG10 the Movie: BIGBANG MADE Review

The movie made me fall even more in love with them. This is heartwarming and heartbreaking as well. As a VIP, the love I felt here is the same love that makes me laugh and cry.

I have known Bigbang for more than seven years because of my sister who transformed from a geek to a K-Pop fan. I may not be a full bloomed fan girl but the intense feeling I have for them is beyond normal. I have never felt this addiction towards a boy group years after being hooked to Meteor Garden's F4, Westlife, and Backstreet Boys.

The summary of their journey as a group of 5 was then immortalized because of BIGBANG10 the Movie: BIGBANG MADE. It is their first documentary film that was released to celebrate their 10th anniversary since their debut last 2006.

When we heard that it will be released on June 30 in South Korea, we crossed our fingers that the film will be shown in the Philippines also. Came, September 25, it took almost three month for the Filipino VIPs to share the awesome feeling of being part of Bigbang's rise to fame.

My sister and I bought the tickets worth PhP 1,000 from Ms. Honnie Kwon. The decision to watch the movie was made so fast that I did not care about my budget that time, considering that we were just recovering from our Singapore-Malaysia trip. Indeed, Bigbang remains on top spot of our heart and mind.

Let me tell you the roller coaster ride of our emotions as we watch this movie.

FIRST...WE SCREAMED TO THE TOP PF OUR LUNGS.
ALL CAPS. YES, IT IS.
When we saw the screen lightened up from a series of commercial ads, we cannot hide our emotions.

The trailer for their world tour was put into good use. It was a perfect opening for this movie.

From being serious, they returned to their usual self as they converse with the viewers. Taeyang and GD cannot help but laugh because of T.O.P. antics.

And when they finished their greetings, everybody was hyped by Bang Bang Bang as the first song to be shown.

This is not your ordinary movie because the intensity is no joke. It feels like a concert wherein you are prohibited to talk loudly and dance wildly.

And when the music stopped, the scene showing the preparations a day before the MADE tour in Seoul was flashed right before us. Everybody was anxious and there we saw how Bigbang focus on their passion for music. They even sat down to check the graphics, lights, lifts and microphones. GD is such a perfectionist that even the littlest concern about sounds must be fixed. We realized how they put much effort to give the people the show that they deserve.

It may sound redundant for some but Fantastic Baby is a must in every Bigbang concert. It is not Bigbang without Fantastic Baby. In the Philippines, people may think that Aldub made it popular but hell no! Bigbang is an institution before Aldub came into picture. BOOMSHAKALAKA!

In between songs, the behind the scene footage of their preparation for BB MADE was shown. This is my favorite scene wherein GD imitated Seungri during their shooting. He also assisted Taeyang by pushing his wheel chair when he wrongly fell during the shooting. Daesung's struggles to dip into water are not easy as he maintained his composure despite his fear of water.

The next song is Stupid Liar. This reminds me of their cute bonding moments together.

Not only do the Bigbang members express their fondness of each other. There are lots of instances that they show their playful side with their staff that they consider as family members and friends.

This photo is a reminder that they love and cherish the people surrounding them. They may be famous icons but they remain as ordinary people in the eyes of their staff.

The feels continue as the viewers were lulled by Haru Haru. We were teary eyed as we sang along. Flashbacks of their debut up to anniversary concerts and world tours suddenly popped up. This song made us one with Bigbang.

But then, our tears went up as the next scenes showed their Jeju Trip. It was the moment when they shot their music video for We Like 2 Party, my favorite song in their MADE series.

Their bond is so hilarious that they seem like kids when they tease each other.

The kids inside them never stopped that even taking a video of shower scene became the subject of their naughty arguments. Here, TOP showed to everybody the X rated shower scene of Seungri.

Karma. What goes around comes around. Taeyang revenged and recorded TOP's shower scene. He made a promise to delete the file but was able to send it to their group chat so everybody may have a copy as leverage.

And the next song is perfect for the turn of events. ZZUTTER is a proof of GD and TOP's weird side as an artist. The lyrics and the music video will make you think of WTF was going on.

GD is an artist who makes great songs and raps like a god. Yet, he is into body art. He has now a total of 20 tattoos on his body. The latest was made by Anil Gupta in New York City. He has the Fallen Angel tattoo which is supposed his naked body drawn around his neck but he refused to strip off his clothes so SoonHo Choi, his manager, did it for him. This will remind him of not only Michael the Archangel but SoonHo forever tattooed on him.

He loves tattoos but his mother doesn't. When his mother visited one of his tours, he had a strange hair cut only to find out that the purposely did it to hide his latest tattoo to his mom. And his mother eventually discovered it thru SNS that she immediately warned GD that it would be the last time he will get a tattoo or else he will look like a beggar.

We're correct in our hunch that Good Boy will be next. GD and Taeyang collaboration was like the background music for GD's decisions in life. He is a good son and friend but his tattoos change his image as someone who inscribe his emotions on his body.

Their tours will not be purely work. Bigbang members also know how to have fun. In each country they went to, they tried to enjoy and record their adventures.

Speaking of these countries, there was a point something second that we screamed. We hoped that they will share memories they had in the Philippines but we failed. #NaBigbangKa is really historical. We remained pinaasa or hopefuls forever.

We were then rewarded by funny scenes of Bigbang members who are playful during their tour. The background song suits them. They are CROOKED.

They do not care if they act reckless in front of others.

They still play games to decide who will  pay for everything. They are like rich kids trapped in old people's bodies.

They do aegyo for the fans though they may hate it sometimes.

The happiness continued as Daesung exhibited his prowess in playing drums. And we knew that SOBER will be next.

Their wild side on stage was then replaced by the real incidents during concerts. After performing, the video showed GD fainting. He had trouble in breathing that he lied on stage to rest. We were shocked. We were all praises for Kwon Leader for his professionalism. The other Bigbang members were unaware of his situation.

Many were frightened by this but GD kept on standing and performing his lines. And when the song was finished he tried to recover during the encore. We literally cried on how helpless we were to just stare at him and wait for the next scenes. We're proud of him being such a good leader and professional idol. He is really a ONE OF A KIND PERSON.

The next song even made us cry. IF YOU is melancholic that we can feel loneliness behind Bigbang's fame.

We did not know that it will be the last song. And during their concert here, silence filled MOA as we immersed into the deep feelings of Bigbang. The song makes us sad and proud of them. We keep our promise to be with them always.

Ten years ago, the five individuals built their dream to sing and perform in front of many people. Little did they know that after 10 years, they will inspire and touch people's lives because of their existence. We will be VIPs until whenever.

Their selfies remind us that their relationship is founded on friendship. They are like brothers from different mothers. They may be different but fate decided that they will become one - BIGBANG. They are incomparable to other groups and they will remain one forever.

This movie made me realize these things.

Taeyang is considerate especially to fans.

Daesung seeks simplicity and ordinary living on his own ways.

TOP is a fan of art even if people will not understand his appreciation.

Seungri is adventurous and sociable person since he tries to mingle with others not as Bigbang but a DJ and reliable friend.

And GD is someone who tries to make things perfect yet he enjoys life as someone who needs improvement and strength from others.

Their interview still haunt me because of their sincerity to show their love for their fans and everybody who helps them to be Bigbang.

Overall, it was a standing ovation. All praises to Bigbang and everybody who made the film possible. We are now part of their hardships and sacrifices. Thank you YG for this!
