Palawan: Wonderland for the the new wanderlust souls

It was our first time to ride an airplane!
And it was the sign that our parents trusted our decision to have a trip together away from Batangas province. The trip was not only an escape from work and school but also a time to celebrate the birthday of my little sister.

As of time of publishing, this was also the time she forgot her fangirling moments. I was not aware that she was so into Bigbang. She chose to be with me in Puerto Princesa, Palawan than attend the Alive tour.

We fully documented how October 21, 2012 made a history in our lives!

Right after our landing at the Puerto Princesa, we just put our bags at the hotel and boom...we're off to different adventures for a day.

Sadly, we forgot that we were scheduled to have our snorkeling activities. We just stayed at the boat to watch other visitors enjoy it while we stared at how beautiful the vast sea was.

Next agenda is island hopping. First among the list was Honda Bay.

We were also offered with seafood buffet where we can have a feast for our tummy.

Next, we arrived at Isla Pandan. It was like a virgin island where tourists can roam around and enjoy the beauty of blue sea kissing the white sand.

We did not miss our chance to engrave our names on the sand and to play like kids.

After the island hopping, we went straight to Marianne Inn. I can give 4 out of 5 stars for this hotel. It is decent for its affordable price. The only problem was that we have no other place to visit around its vicinity since there were no other establishments where we can stay late at night.

And before we pushed with our second day schedule, we ate our free breakfast offered by the hotel.

It was our much awaited day since we will have the chance to see one of the the Seven Wonders of the World.

We were finally on board to see the Underground River.

Once we touched the coast, our tour guide volunteered to take our photo as our remembrance.

We rode on a boat together with some of our hotel mates.

I was immersed with the different figures formed by the stalagmites and stalactites. This was the moment when my sister was busy capturing photos of us amidst the darkness.

After our amazing tour at the Underground River, we ate our lunch at the nearby resort. But, one thing caught our attention. There was this slimy exotic food that we wanted to try since we read it from different blogs and watched it from various magazine shows. We tried and ate Tamilok. It is the longest oyster. We thought it was some kind of worm but actually, it is a seawater clam.

Our bravery did not stop stop there. We walked for a while and we saw a placard for the photo opportunity with a snake and bearcat. They were so harmless that we got so attached to them so quickly.

That ended our second day.

The next thing we knew was we were doing some mirror selfie at our hotel room.

Our third day was spent for church visits and relaxing tours.

We went to Binuatan Weaving Creations and tried the classic way of weaving.

The tour was not complete without the pasalubong buying. We proceeded to the Baker's Hill not only to buy pastries but also to have our different poses with its beautiful amenities especially the statues.

The thrill did not end yet because our next stop was the wildlife farm where we saw numerous crocodiles of different sizes and breeds.

All in all, our trip was way too packed that we were so lucky to see the tourist spots of Puerto Princesa aside from the rare chance to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Underground River.

More updates to come.
