Anawangin: Bringing out the girl scouts in us

Summer of 2013 and we were then bound to renew our pledge as former girl scouts.

All we have was a little knowledge of how to go to Zambales and less than Php 3,000 at hand. With a snap of our finger, we decided to camp in Anawangin, Zambales. We rode the bus going to Zambales and from the drop off point, we rode the tricycle going to Pundaquit Beach.

Pundaquit Beach is like the port going to Anawangin Cove.

We waited for several minutes to settle our needed things for camping and to board the boat that will bring us to Anawangin Cove.

And for our safety, we wore our life jackets throughout our boat ride.

Touchdown...Anawangin Cove.

Right after we reached the Anawangin Cove, we signed in the tourists' log book. We also paid the environment fee amounting to PhP 100 for overnight stay.

Next, we set up our tent with the help of our tour guide. It was like our first time to sleep inside the tent and set it up from the start.

We wasted no time after we took a break. We roamed the whole cove and decided to swim for a while.

We enjoyed every bit of the place's sanctity. And the best view of the day was the sunset by the beach. It was so magnificent to stay mesmerized by the serene surrounding and beautiful setting.

Our much awaited moment was to cook our dinner. We were equipped with tools and instant goodies so we were not afraid to be hungry at that time.

We were bored to death that we decided to take selfies inside our tent. Other people outside were playing games as groups and some were having some quality time as couples.

Here are some of our foodies for our overnight stay at the cove.

At the break of drawn, nonstop photo opportunities like this panorama shot ended our trip. During that time, we were afraid that nobody will pick us up from the cove since our supposed service was used by another tourist. We were lucky enough that somebody fetched us and toured us to some islands just like Capones Island and with a bonus of light house experience.

Quick reminder from us: Be a girl scout anytime since places like this must be treated well by people who are willing to forget our fast phased world. There are no signal and bathrooms that can mend people's longing to what our present era can offer.

Just enjoy Anawangin Cove at a very affordable price and relaxing atmosphere :)
